BBC News – NHS satisfaction ‘at record high’.

Why is the conservative government re-organising the NHS when the public  is showing great satisfaction levels? What really worries me is that reform will see a majority of the NHS budget being given over to the GP’s.

I am worried about this since there is a proved lack of knowledge of sleep disorders amongst GPs. They misdiagnose and ignore complaints that later prove to be narcolepsy, sleep apnea, and other parasomnias on a regular basis.

I agree, you can only diagnose narcolepsy after you have had all the tests carried out at a specialist unit. Still, you need the GP to refer you. I had to diagnose myself and then the only thing that made my GP refer me to a specialist was because I said it affected my ability to work.
